On October 24, 2023, Trey Anthony Sukey, a 30-year-old motorcyclist from Lorain, Ohio, was tragically shot and killed in Elyria Township. The incident occurred around 6 PM near Lake Avenue and Emerson Court when Sukey was shot multiple times while riding his motorcycle. Despite immediate assistance from bystanders, including a surgical technician who attempted to provide aid, Sukey succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at University Hospital Elyria.
