Tiffany Morrison, a 34-year-old woman from East Liverpool, Ohio, was tragically murdered on December 18, 2023, by her husband, Christopher Morrison. The couple had been experiencing marital difficulties, and Tiffany was reportedly trying to leave her husband.
Christopher Morrison, 35, shot Tiffany in the head while she was in the shower in the basement of their Shadyside Road home in Liverpool Township. After the murder, he attempted to cover up his crime by patching the bullet hole in the shower with caulk.
In a gruesome act to conceal the murder, Christopher Morrison dismembered Tiffany's body using a saw. He then placed her remains into garbage bags and stored them in a shed on their property. The murder was discovered on December 20, 2023, when Liverpool Township Police, acting on a tip from a friend Christopher had confided in, executed a search warrant at the residence.
Christopher Morrison was arrested on December 20, 2023, during a traffic stop initiated by Liverpool Township Police Chief Jared Kinemond. Upon searching the property, investigators found seven garbage bags inside a carpet roll in the shed. Six of these bags contained Tiffany's remains, while the seventh contained a sawzall with blades and its box.
Following his arrest, Christopher Morrison initially claimed ignorance about his wife's whereabouts during a police interview. However, he later admitted to the crime during court proceedings. On August 31, 2024, Christopher Morrison pleaded guilty to all six counts against him, including aggravated murder, murder, gross abuse of a corpse, possessing criminal tools, and two counts of tampering with evidence.
On September 17, 2024, Christopher Morrison was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
