On January 12, 2024, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Cincinnati police responded to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of Reading Road in the Avondale neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 45-year-old Damien Antonio Bonner suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, on January 29, 2024, the Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Crime Gun Intelligence Center, arrested 57-year-old Redeemed
Hardy in connection with Bonner's death. Hardy was charged with murder, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have urged anyone with additional information to contact the Homicide Unit at 513-352-3542.
A visitation for Damien Bonner was held on February 3, 2024, at the House of Hope in Cincinnati, followed by a funeral service. Family and friends gathered to honor his memory and legacy.
