On February 4, 2024, 18-year-old Deandre Maurice Clyburn Jr. was fatally shot while driving in Youngstown, Ohio. At approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a vehicle crash in the 300 block of South Truesdale Avenue on the city's East Side. Upon arrival, they discovered a car that had veered into a wooded area and caught fire. Inside, Clyburn was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
An 18-year-old passenger in the vehicle was unharmed.
The Mahoning County Coroner's Office confirmed Clyburn's identity and noted that his death was one of two unrelated homicides in Youngstown on the same day. Earlier, 32-year-old Dominique Collier was shot and killed at a private club on St. Louis Avenue.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with Clyburn's death. The Youngstown Police Department continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to come forward.
Born on December 1, 2005, Clyburn was an aspiring rapper known by the stage name "Bank Roll SD." He had cultivated a significant following on his YouTube channel, where his creative collaborations remain accessible. Beyond his musical pursuits, he enjoyed swimming and fishing with his family.
A Celebration of Life service was held on February 19, 2024, at J.E. Washington Funeral Services in Youngstown, officiated by Rev. Lewis W. Macklin II. Family and friends gathered to honor his memory and bid farewell.
