On February 19, 2024, Carlos DeJesus Godineaux, a 26-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was shot and killed in a tragic incident that has drawn significant attention from law enforcement and the community. The shooting occurred on Bellevue Avenue near Diagonal Road in Akron's Sherbondy Hill neighborhood.
