On March 8, 2024, Alonzo Stefan Byrd, a 37-year-old resident of Delaware, Ohio, was fatally shot in a violent incident that has since drawn significant attention. Byrd was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds after police responded to reports of a shooting on Ross Street. He was quickly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
