On March 30, 2024, Benjamin Addison, a 21-year-old college student from Cincinnati, Ohio, was shot and killed in the Mount Auburn neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2 AM when Addison confronted suspects who were attempting to break into his car. Despite emergency responders' efforts to perform life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the aftermath of the shooting, a 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested on April 6, 2024, in connection with Addison's death.
