On April 25, 2024, construction workers discovered the body of 33-year-old Danyaze' Le'Shey Evans-Kourouma near the intersection of Noe-Bixby Road and Carbondale Drive in Columbus, Ohio. Responding officers pronounced her dead at the scene at 2:18 p.m. An autopsy conducted the following day confirmed that she had died from a gunshot wound.
The Columbus Division of Police officially identified Evans-Kourouma on May 9, 2024, after notifying her next of kin.
Investigators noted that she was known to frequent the areas of Lilley Avenue, Berkeley Road, and East Livingston Avenue. Despite ongoing efforts, authorities have not yet determined the circumstances leading to her death.
