Bralon Lee Shepherd, a 26-year-old resident of Garfield Heights, tragically lost his life on June 1, 2024, in Cleveland, Ohio. Shepherd was found deceased inside a vehicle in the area of East 109th Street and Prince Avenue, along with another victim identified as Sylvon Robinson, 27.
The Cleveland Division of Police responded to the scene at approximately 2:45 a.m. after receiving a Shot Spotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers discovered both Shepherd and Robinson dead inside what was later determined to be a stolen vehicle. The incident was quickly classified as a double homicide, prompting an immediate investigation by local law enforcement.
Following an extensive investigation, authorities identified Aric Ward, 34, as a suspect in the fatal shooting. On October 18, 2024, members of the U.S. Marshals led Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) successfully apprehended Ward. The arrest took place at a residence located in the 24800 block of Woodline Road in Bedford, Ohio.
Ward now faces two counts of aggravated murder in connection with the deaths of Bralon Shepherd and Sylvon Robinson. The arrest of Ward marks a significant development in the case, bringing hope for justice to the families of the victims and the community at large.
