Ceilin Ricard Peaks Smith, 36, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred on June 14, 2024, outside the Aura nightclub (formerly known as Aurora Dance Club) located at 205 N. 5th St. in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place around 1:45 a.m., resulting in four adults suffering gunshot wounds. Smith, along with 27-year-old Desmond Taylor, both of whom were reportedly working as security guards at the club, were fatally injured in the shooting.
