On June 24, 2024, at approximately 2:45 p.m., 25-year-old Mandrell Antonio Hall Jr. was fatally shot in the 1700 block of Avalon Road on Cleveland's East Side. Emergency Medical Services transported both Hall and a 17-year-old male victim to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, where Hall was later pronounced dead. The condition of the 17-year-old has not been publicly disclosed.
Following the incident, the Cleveland Police Department initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. As of now, there have been no public reports of arrests or identification of suspects related to Hall's death. A visitation for Hall was held on July 11, 2024, at Rogers Funeral Home in Cleveland, followed by a wake and funeral service on July 12 at Starlight Baptist Church in East Cleveland. The community continues to mourn his loss and seeks justice for the tragic event.
