On July 28, 2024, Paige Nicole Calich, a 24-year-old mother from Akron, Ohio, was fatally shot at her apartment complex in the Summit Lake neighborhood. Authorities responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. and discovered Calich in the doorway of her residence, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
