Mikayla Pickett, an 8-year-old girl from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost her life on August 14, 2020. She was attending a birthday party on Roselle Avenue when a hail of gunfire erupted, resulting in her death and injuries to a 14-year-old girl. Mikayla, described as a happy and lovable child who loved dancing and gymnastics, was supposed to start third grade at Portage Path Community Learning Center.
