On July 28, 2024, Jacob Anthony Coons, a 25-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot during an altercation at Charley's Place, a bar located in the Franklinton neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:43 AM when police responded to reports of a shooting at the establishment. Upon their arrival, officers discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
