On the morning of August 4, 2024, at approximately 7:10 a.m., Cincinnati police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 100 block of East Clifton Avenue in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 39-year-old Andrew Boner inside a white sedan that had collided with a utility pole. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
