On August 19, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 51-year-old Dennis Bohlen was found lying in the street near 833 Woodville Road in Toledo, Ohio, with multiple gunshot wounds. First responders attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lucas County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy later that day, confirming that Bohlen's death was a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
Following the incident, a murder warrant was issued for 38-year-old Dujuan Clements. On August 28, 2024, Clements was arrested in Detroit by U.S. Marshals, the Detroit Police Department, and the Michigan State Police. He was subsequently indicted on several charges, including two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, felonious assault, kidnapping, having weapons while under disability, and discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises.
Prior to his death, Bohlen had been arrested on August 10, 2024, for receiving stolen property after a stolen vehicle was found in his possession at a Motel 6. He claimed to police that he was unaware the car was stolen. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, and authorities have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
