On August 22, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., Beavercreek police responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Maple Lane, where they discovered 55-year-old Michael Corrigan deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Family members, concerned after failing to reach him, found his body and alerted authorities.

Investigators identified 52-year-old Janel M. Nelson of Thorp, Wisconsin, as a suspect. Nelson and Corrigan had maintained an on-and-off relationship for 15 years. A socia ...
