On October 1, 2024, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Cincinnati police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Glenridge Place in Avondale. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Keith James suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, James was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, on October 4, 2024, the Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit, with assistance from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, arrested
37-year-old Anthony Douglas in connection with the shooting. Douglas was charged with murder for the death of Keith James. Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the shooting.
Keith James was born on January 15, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was remembered by friends and family during a visitation and funeral service held on October 19, 2024, at the Inspirational Bible Church. Interment followed at Walnut Hills Cemetery. Loved ones shared memories and condolences, highlighting the impact James had on those around him.
