On October 4, 2024, 32-year-old José Ervin Jr. was fatally shot in Garfield Heights, Ohio. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. near a Dunkin' Donuts at the intersection of Turney and McCracken Roads. First responders found Ervin unresponsive with a gunshot wound; he was transported to Marymount Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
