On January 3, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Garfield Heights police responded to reports of gunfire at the Pizza Hut located at 5526 Turney Road, directly across from the police station. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Anthony Hairston, a Garfield Heights resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
