Brian Cofer, a 39-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on October 27, 2024, during a Halloween party in Springfield Township. The incident occurred shortly after midnight when a group of uninvited individuals reportedly entered the gathering on Canton Road. Witnesses and police reports indicate that moments before Cofer was shot, another man at the party was assaulted with a pistol, an event captured on cell phone video.
