On March 31, 2023, 39-year-old Victor Torres was fatally shot during an altercation at a McDonald's drive-thru in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred at the McDonald's located at 1120 Indian School Road NW. Torres and his partner, Yvette Benavidez, were in the drive-thru lane when a verbal confrontation ensued between Torres and another driver, later identified as 24-year-old Deandre Vigil.
