In the late summer of 2019, the life of Christopher "Cuwa" Yazzie, a 44-year-old male born in Ft. Defiance, Arizona, was tragically cut short in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On August 24th, a seemingly simple neighborly request spiraled into a fatal encounter. Yazzie and his fiancée were without running water in their home, a situation that prompted her to go next door and ask their 70-year-old neighbor, Richard Maliszewski, if they could borrow some.
