On the evening of April 1, 2024, Shiereen Al-Jibury, a 39-year-old mother of three from Mesilla, New Mexico, was fatally shot in a tragic incident that unfolded near University Avenue and Stanford Street. According to witnesses and law enforcement reports, Al-Jibury was seen exiting a gray SUV barefoot when gunfire erupted.
