Megan Elizabeth Garner, a 3-year-old girl from Tyler, Texas, disappeared on March 27, 1991. She was last seen playing on a playground near her family’s apartment at the Timberline Apartments, located in the 4600 block of Paluxy Drive. Megan had been playing with her brother and cousin, and at one point, she briefly returned to the apartment for a snack. When the other children returned shortly after, Megan was missing.
Despite extensive searches, no witnesses reported seeing Megan or anything unusual at the time.
Megan's case is classified as a non-family abduction. She was last seen wearing a striped pink, blue, and green shirt, pink corduroy pants, blue socks, and white Reebok sneakers. Efforts by law enforcement over the years have continued, though the case remains unsolved. Age progression images have been released over the years to assist in identifying what Megan might look like as an adult.
Her family, particularly her mother, Melanie Jackson, continues to hold out hope for her safe return. Despite the cold status of the case, investigators regularly review the files and follow any potential leads, hoping that advances in technology might one day bring closure.
