On June 23, 2023, 35-year-old Mallory Angel Armijo was fatally shot outside a 7-Eleven store near the Las Vegas Strip. The incident occurred around 12:16 a.m. on East Sahara Avenue. According to her sister, Rachel Wright, the tragedy unfolded after Armijo took a salad from the store without paying, intending to feed her hungry girlfriend.
