In a tragic incident of domestic violence, Celina Lisa Rebholz, a 32-year-old Caucasian woman, was killed on August 12, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The events unfolded at a residence on Golden Arrow Drive, where an argument between Rebholz and her 50-year-old boyfriend, James Gina III, escalated with fatal consequences. Witnesses reported hearing the couple arguing, with Rebholz allegedly accusing Gina of being a pedophile.
In response, Gina was heard threatening to shoot her if she did not stop talking.
Despite the presence of Gina's mother, who attempted to intervene, the situation spiraled out of control. A witness who was present left the residence for a few hours and upon returning, discovered a horrific scene. Rebholz was found lying on a bedroom floor with a gunshot wound to her chest, still alive and making gurgling sounds. Gina, described as being frantic and distraught, refused to call for medical assistance for Rebholz. The witness, feeling overwhelmed and unsure of how to handle the situation, departed from the residence.
For two days, Gina concealed Rebholz's body within the house. He later confessed to a witness, stating, "I killed the woman I love," and revealed that he had hidden her body in the attic. The crime came to light on August 14, 2023, when a witness, fearing for their own life, went to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report the killing. The witness informed the police that Gina was planning to move the body. Another witness told police that Gina had asked for a ride to the airport to rent a car, as he did not want to transport her body in his own vehicle due to a foul odor.
Acting on the information, police went to the Golden Arrow Drive residence and discovered Celina Rebholz's body in a bedroom, covered by a blanket. An investigation revealed she had been shot 12 times. James Gina III was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and being a prohibited person in possession of a gun. He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center without bail. Gina, who has distinctive tattoos of eyeglasses on his face and horns on his head, pleaded not guilty to the murder charge on September 7, 2023. His mother reportedly told police that the shooting was accidental and occurred while he was "fiddling" with his gun.
