In the quiet neighborhood of Verdi, just outside of Reno, Nevada, the life of James Morais, a 51-year-old Caucasian male, came to an abrupt and violent end on the night of September 26, 2023. Morais was shot and killed inside a home on Mario Road. The events leading up to his death paint a complex picture of a dispute that escalated to a fatal confrontation.
