At approximately 8 p.m., police responded to 911 calls reporting gunfire at the apartment complex. Upon arrival, they found Rebolledo unresponsive in the parking lot, holding a gun. Crime scene investigators discovered a single spent cartridge case near his body, which was later determined not to have been fired from the gun in Rebolledo's possession. The Clark County coroner's office confirmed that Rebolledo died from a gunshot wound to the head.
