In the early hours of a Sunday morning, the life of 24-year-old Victor Liborio, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. On August 4, 2024, a house party in North Las Vegas turned into a scene of violence that would leave a community shaken and a family mourning. The gathering was taking place in the 3600 block of Coran Lane, near the intersection of Allen Lane and Lake Mead Boulevard, when gunfire erupted at approximately 12:41 a.m.
When officers from the North Las Vegas Police
Department arrived at the chaotic scene, they discovered three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Among them was Victor Liborio, who was found in critical condition. He and another man in his mid-20s were rushed to UMC Trauma Hospital for emergency medical treatment. A third victim, a 16-year-old male, was also in critical condition and transported to UMC Pediatrics Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, Victor Liborio succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Clark County Coroner's Office later confirmed his cause of death as a perforating gunshot wound to the chest, ruling it a homicide. The other adult victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
