On October 19, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in northeast Las Vegas, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Jeffry Garcia. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a "loud house party" just after midnight in the 3800 block of Idlewood Avenue. Shortly after, they received additional information about gunshots in the area.
