In the late hours of November 3, 2024, the life of 29-year-old Paul Pino, a male resident of Reno, Nevada, was tragically cut short. Just before 11:00 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 1800 block of Selmi Drive, prompting calls to the Reno Police Department. Officers arrived at the scene to find a chaotic and grim situation. Paul Pino was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound.
Emergency medical personnel from REMSA were quick to arrive and provide medical aid to the
injured man. Despite their efforts, however, Paul Pino succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation into his death was promptly taken over by the Reno Police Department's Robbery Homicide Unit, who classified the case as a homicide.
In the days following the shooting, authorities stated that they believed the incident was an isolated event and that there was no ongoing threat to the public. As of the initial reports, the suspect or suspects involved in Paul Pino's death remained at large. In an effort to generate leads and bring those responsible to justice, the Secret Witness program offered a $5,000 reward for any information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of the individual or individuals involved in the homicide. The Reno Police Department has urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and contact them or to provide anonymous tips through Secret Witness.
