A man is found dead in his Pleasant Valley home\n
On September 14, 1979, Daniel Carpenter, a 38-year-old male, was found dead inside his Pleasant Valley home near Carriage Drive on the south side of Reno. Investigators who entered the residence encountered a scene that invited more questions than answers: narcotics and related paraphernalia were present in the house, and the circumstances pointed to a violent end rather than a natural or accidental death.
