In the quiet city of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, a tragic event unfolded on July 12, 2023, ending the life of 65-year-old Sandra Lavon Geers. On that Wednesday afternoon, police were called to a home on the 900 block of Jeffrey Court, where they made a grim discovery.
Inside the residence, officers found Sandra, a female, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Alongside her was Timothy Edmund Geers, also 65, who was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A firearm was located near his body.
The St. Cloud Police Department, with the assistance of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, began an investigation into the deaths. Both individuals were transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office for autopsies to officially determine the cause and manner of their deaths.
Based on the initial investigation and evidence at the scene, law enforcement is treating the case as a murder-suicide. As the primary suspect in Sandra's death is believed to be Timothy Geers, who is also deceased, no arrests have been made.
