On December 28, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Dassel Township, Minnesota, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Kayla Demarais. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a homicide, determining that she had been shot multiple times. The fatal shooting took place in Kayla's rural Dassel home, where she was found deceased that morning.
