In the early morning hours of December 6, 2024, a confrontation in a quiet Richfield, Minnesota neighborhood led to the tragic death of 26-year-old Sofia Rose O’Hotto of Minneapolis. The series of events began around 3:30 a.m. when Luke Joshua Cain, a 29-year-old resident, noticed several individuals allegedly stealing from his van parked outside his home on the 6200 block of 5th Avenue South.
