On the night of July 3, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas, a sequence of events tragically culminated in the death of 16-year-old Elrecus Nolan, a Black male. Just before 10:30 p.m., the sound of multiple gunshots pierced the air near the intersection of Mt. Vernon and Ellis Street.
