In the quiet town of Louisburg, Kansas, the life of 8-year-old Mason Kwan Stanford came to a tragic end on October 7, 2023. The young boy passed away at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, a day after being shot by his mother, Susan Stanford, in their home on October 6, 2023. Authorities have confirmed that Susan Stanford took her own life after shooting her son in what has been ruled a murder-suicide.
