On the evening of October 11, 2024, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the Frontenac Police Department received a 911 call reporting gunshots in the 800 block of North Cayuga Street in Frontenac, Kansas. Upon arrival, officers found 39-year-old Jonathan D. Brewer unconscious at a neighbor's residence. Emergency Medical Services attempted life-saving measures, but Brewer was pronounced dead at the scene.
