In the early morning hours of February 20, 2023, the life of 20-year-old Jatravian Chevelier, a male resident of St. Martin, Louisiana, was tragically cut short. Lafayette Police were called to the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue around 1:50 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Chevelier inside a vehicle in a parking lot at 1111 Mudd Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
