In the late hours of a Sunday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragedy befell 19-year-old Treyvon Jahmel Nelson. On March 5, 2023, Nelson was seated in a parked vehicle with two other individuals on Sherwood Meadow Drive when the quiet was shattered by gunfire. An unknown assailant, or possibly multiple individuals, unleashed a volley of shots at the car, striking Nelson.
