In the early morning hours of May 7, 2023, the life of 44-year-old Raymond Behan Jr. was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. Behan was riding his bicycle in the 700 block of Common Street just before 5:30 a.m. when he was struck by multiple gunshots. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Behan with severe injuries. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.
The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units immediately began an intensive investigation into the shooting. In late July 2023, the Shreveport Police Department announced that they had secured an arrest warrant for Qunchavis Roshun Webster. The warrant outlined charges of Second-Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. At the time of the announcement, Webster was not in custody and was considered to be armed and dangerous. Law enforcement officials appealed to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts, offering a reward for tips that could lead to his apprehension. As of the latest available information, the case against Webster is pending his arrest, and no trial or conviction has yet taken place.
