In the early hours of a Tuesday in May 2023, the quiet of a Terrytown neighborhood in Gretna, Louisiana, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When the echoes faded, 17-year-old Jordan Butler, a male, lay dead in the street on East Monterey Court, the victim of multiple gunshot wounds. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office was called to the scene just after midnight on May 16, 2023, where they found the teenager's body.
