George Young, a 65-year-old Black man from Marrero, Louisiana, was fatally shot on July 21, 2023, when gunfire tore through a home in the Lincolnshire subdivision. Deputies were called to the 6700 block of Mather Drive around 6:40 p.m. after reports that multiple people had been hit.
