On November 30, 2023, Eric Johnson, a 54-year-old resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was fatally shot in the 1400 block of Thomas H. Delpit Drive, between Terrace and Louise streets. The incident was detected by a "shot-spotter" device, which alerted the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) to the location of the gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found Eric Johnson with several gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office.
