On February 5, 2024, 37-year-old Jevaughn Oubre of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was fatally shot near the Circle K gas station on Michael Delving Road. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Witnesses reported that Oubre and another individual had been arguing after leaving the convenience store when the suspect drew a firearm and shot Oubre in the head, resulting in his death at the scene.
