Death by Force

On February 20, 2024, a homicide occurred in the 7th Ward of New Orleans, resulting in the death of 33-year-old Shane Casmier. The incident was reported around 10:24 a.m. in the 1900 block of N. Dorgenois Street. New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) officers found Casmier unresponsive on the sidewalk, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
