In the heart of New Orleans, a life was tragically cut short on a Tuesday morning. Shane Casmier, a 33-year-old Black/African American man, was in the 7th Ward on February 20, 2024, when his life came to a violent end. The morning was shattered by the sound of gunfire in the 1900 block of N. Dorgenois Street.
