Edward Brooks, a 35-year-old male, was fatally shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on March 31, 2024. The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. in the 12000 block of Cate Avenue, an area situated off Florida Boulevard between Marque Ann and Christy Drives. According to reports, Brooks was involved in an argument that escalated, resulting in him being shot once in the chest. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital in critical condition, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
