On April 14, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred in Broussard, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 39-year-old April Conley Rollins. The incident took place in the 200 block of Longleaf Drive, where Broussard Police responded to a shooting report at approximately 2:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Rollins with gunshot wounds, and she was immediately transported to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
