On the night of February 9, 2017, Raheem "Boosie" Devontae Wilson, a 24-year-old Black male from Peoria, Illinois, was fatally shot. Authorities responded to a ShotSpotter alert near Broadway and Thrush streets, where they discovered Raheem Wilson on the back steps of a residence on Thrush Street. He was transported to OSF St. Francis Medical Center and pronounced dead at 11:53 p.m.
